BLINDFOLD COTTON BALL RACE
Objective: ~~ Transfer as many cotton balls from one bowl to another using only a spoon. The catch? You'll be blindfolded.
Game Type: ~~ Active. A lot of movement may be required.
Players: ~~ 4 or more players
Needed: ~~ Bowls, cotton balls, blindfold, spoons
Rules: ~~ This games works best when you play two players at a time. Blindfold the players and give each a spoon. Place two bowls in front of each player, one of which is has 20 cotton balls. The other bowl is empty. Say go! Each player must transfer as many cotton balls from one bowl to the other in 30 seconds. The trick is that they are so light you can't really feel them on you spoon and this makes it hard. The winner is the player who transfers the most.
BACK DASH
Objective: ~~ Get your balloons to the finish line first.
Game Type: ~~ Active. A lot of movement may be required.
Players: ~~ 6 or more players
Needed: ~~ 4 round balloons
Rules: ~~ Divide the group into two teams, and then divide each team into pairs. This is a relay race, and the racecourse can extend across a large field or around a building. Mark a start and finish line. Teams of pairs space themselves equally from one end of the racecourse to the other. Pairs stand back to back with elbows linked. Blow up 4 large balloons and give two each to the first pair from each team. One balloon is held in each hand of each player. When the leader says, "Go", the first two pairs make their way to the next pair of linked players. The first pair transfers its balloons to the next pair. The first team to cross the finish line wins.
TOILET PAPER WRAP
Objective: ~~ Wrap your partner in toilet paper from head to toe as fast as you can!
Game Type: ~~ Active. A lot of movement may be required.
Players: ~~ 4 or more players
Needed: ~~ Toilet paper
Rules: ~~ Each child grabs a partner. One wraps and one is the Statue. Set a time clock to count off seconds. When the time clock starts the wrapper has to completely wrap up their partner from head to toe. It's harder than you think but also a lot of fun. The first one to wrap up their partner completely with no body parts showing wins!! One roll of toilet paper per team.
LIFESAVER RACE
Objective: ~~ Pass a lifesaver from player to player using only a toothpick! A relay race game.
Game Type: ~~ Active. A lot of movement may be required.
Players: ~~ 6 or more players
Needed: ~~ Straws Lifesavers
Rules: ~~ First divide your group into two teams. Each team will need to be lined up facing the forward. Then take a bunch of toothpicks and give each player one. The player at the beginning of the line gets the lifesaver. Before you begin, everybody puts the toothpicks into their mouth and then the captain (first person in each line) puts a lifesaver on his/her toothpick. The object is to pass the lifesaver from team member to team member using only the toothpick, no hands allowed! The first team to pass it down to the end of the line wins. If the lifesaver falls on the floor then you must start at the beginning again.
FLOUR TAG
Objective: ~~ A fun tag game where you get tagged with flour filled nylon sacks.
Game Type: ~~ Active. A lot of movement may be required.
Players: ~~ 6 or more players
Needed: ~~ Dark shirts Flour Nylon stockings
Rules: ~~ Choose a person to be the referee. Determine a jail area. Each player Must Have a dark T-shirt on (black or navy blue work well). Give each player a nylon that is filled with flour. Tie the nylon at the end to make it into a ball shape. The group plays tag as normal but players are knocked out by throwing the flour torpedoes at each other. You will be able to see who has been hit because they will be hit with a flour mark. The referee must keep their eye on the players and call out those who are hit to the jail area. Keep a damp rag handy to clean up the shirts between rounds.
